Schedule of Rates for Water Service
Minimum Basic Rate:
Quarterly: $59.75 per equivalent billing unit (EBU). An EBU is based upon water usage of 48,000 gallons per year
Monthly: $19.92 per EBU ($19.92 x 3= $59.75)
Consumption Charge: $0.32 per 100 gallons
Quarterly Single Family Residential Charge: one (1) EBU plus consumption charge based on actual or estimated meter readings
Quarterly Non-Single Family Residential Charge: Non-Single Family Residential EBU Charges are determined on a case-by-case basis utilizing historic usage or estimated usage depending on availability of information. The total EBU fees for Non-Single Family Residential uses will be based on estimated daily water usage so that every 48,000 gallons of water consumed per year is one (1) EBU. (EBU Example: 288,000 gallons per year ÷ 48,000 gallons per year = 6 EBUs) Minimum Non-Single Family Residential EBU Fee shall be equal to Residential EBU Fee. A consumption charge shall be included in each invoice based on meter readings.
Connection Fees
Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU): $1550 per EDU
Single Family Residential EDU Fee: one (1) EDU = $1550
Non-Single Family Residential EDU Fee: Non-Single Family Residential EDU fees are determined on a case-by-case basis utilizing historic usage or estimated usage depending on availability of information. The total EDU fees for Non-Single Family Residential uses will be based on estimated daily water usage as follows: Estimated GPD ÷ 177.5 GPD/EDU x $1550.00/EDU Example - (500 GPD ÷ 177.5 = 2.8 x $1550.00= $4,340.00). Minimum Non-Single Family Residential EDU Fee will be equal to the Residential EDU Fee. A consumption charge shall be included in each invoice based on meter readings.
Consumption Charge: Bulk Water Haulers
$0.37 per 100 gallons plus EBU fees. EDU fees do not apply.
Interest Charge
Interest is charge at the rate of 0.83% per month or 10% per annum, noncumulative, on outstanding water service invoices which are more than 21 days past invoicing. Interest, once assessed, shall be applied from the date of invoicing.
Liens
Notice of Lien: $200.00 plus filing fees
Meter Fees
Shut-Off Fee: $50.00
Restoration of Water Service Fee: $50.00
Meter Testing Fee: Meter testing at the request of Customers shall be paid by Customers at the following rates if the meter, once tested, reads accurately:

*The Authority has the sole right to determine which type and nominal standard size of connection and meter/meter pit is utilized for service as reflected in the tables above. Additional costs will apply for a larger domestic meter if needed.
** Large service line connection fees for lines greater than 2 inch provided by the Brodhead Creek Regional Authority are determined by actual installation costs.

Fire Service Rates
Public: Municipal fire hydrant: $1.00/year
Private: For each fire hydrant: $150.00/year
Sprinkler or Fire Service Systems: $50/year per half inch diameter sprinkler pipe connection with minimum one inch diameter connection
